For over 100 years, Honeywell Aerospace has pioneered aviation advancements — from commercial cabin pressurization in 1946 to NASA's Artemis missions.  

 

Today, 90% of aircraft rely on our avionics. We've delivered over 100,000 APUs and over 72,000 engines, transforming flight through breakthrough cockpit systems, weather radar, connected aircraft and sustainable propulsion that advance safety, efficiency and performance worldwide. 

TIMELINE

Our important milestones

1929

Autopilot

The first “blind” instrument-only flight was enabled, allowing a pilot to take off and land without seeing outside the cockpit.

1946

Cabin Pressure

Provided the first commercial aircraft cabin pressure system, allowing comfort at 20,000 feet. 

1969

Apollo 11 moon mission

16,000 components were supplied for the stabilization and control systems on the Apollo 11 mission.
